CAPTAIN MANOJ KUMAR PANDEY

Hi friends! Welcome back to Vatsala Shukla's blogs. Today I am back again with a new self composed poem of mine. As we all know that today is 3rd of july and this is the exact day when 23 years back from today one of the brave soldiers of our country lost his life while fighting for our country in the battlefield of kargil. He was none other than the PARAMVEER CHARKRA AWARDEE CAPTAIN MANOJ KUMAR PANDEY. And I feel very proud to say that he was an alumnus of our school. He was awarded the PARAMVEER CHARKRA for his bravery and courage. You will get to know more about him by reading this poem.
So, here is my poem.
Hope you all like it 🙂🙂.

Let's go back to the time
When the bravest of the braves was born,
Who proved to be a shining star
And a rose in the world of thorns.

He has been the lantern of the wisdom way,
Who lighted the path for us with gay,
The man who motivates me everyday
Is Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey.

He motivates me to do many things,
A lot of motivation to me he brings,
I learnt that the world is not ruled by kings,
It's just we will pay for our sins.

If enemy lifts weapon his heads we should trim,
A war can't be won if one only chants hymn,
Wars have always proved to be grim,
All these things I learnt from him.

One should be mentally and physically tough,
For weeklings to survive the world is too rough,
Life is not a bed that is full of fluff,
Our strength may increase but it will never be enough.

Many in the world want to lead his life,
But the life of a soldier is not like playing fife,
There are many wars and sometimes even strife,
That's why the life of a soldier is a thing that's rife.

Let's come back to the point
Where we started before,
Let me tell you about him
And his deeds even more.

He led the operation Vijay in the 1999 kargil war,
The wicked enemy was impossible for him to ignore,
He went to the battlefield and like a lion he did roar,
With his single gun he killed more than four.

But there was also a bullet that had enough courage,
To face such a brave soldier and leave everyone amazed,
What it did then is still something strange,
But after his martyrdom the best for him was arranged.

He was amongst those who received the gallantry award,
In front of his courage it was just a small reward,
He then became a personality whom everyone adored,
This is how the captain went to the lap of lord.

He is motivation of many to join the armed force,
Sacrifice your body to your land this is what says my soul,
I learnt to overcome fear as life isn't in our control,
Anyhow in my life I will play this role.

Whenever I will return from the battlefield,
With either in my hands the war shield,
Or my body in the tricolour sealed,
I won't let his glory get anyhow concealed.

He has ofcourse went to the garden of paradise,
But no one will forget what he did sacrifice,
One day the whole world will surely realise,
That his enemies too after his death apologized.

The paramveer charkra awardee made his parents proud,
I learnt that those are the precious gems in a people's crowd,
"Our parents deserve our success" now I will speak it aloud,
Thanks to the man who taught me this speachlessly but loud.

Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey has inspired me a lot,
Serving the nation seems difficult but it actually is not,
Whenever you feel stressed jut go to your favourite spot,
I know it must be your Village home built on a piece of plot.

He had always worked on his will,
Who fought the enemy on the top of the hill,
In the war zone he never felt the thrill,
He went there fearlessly and showed his war skill.

I can't end up praising his deeds,
If one is useful to the nation in his life he succeeds,
A thread is more important as it ties together the beads,
One can look into his life if any motivation one needs.

Working for the nation was his passion not pride,
A bond of devotion to the nation he had tied,
His bravery is a motivation for everyone worldwide,
'cause he lived for the nation and for the nation only he died.
