How did I celebrate republic day?

Hello friends! Welcome back to Vatsala Shukla's blogs. I hope that you all are fit and fine. And now as I promised last week I am going to tell you how I spent republic day in my society.

I woke up at 8 o'clock on republic day to get ready for the celebration. I Was so much excited the day as I was going to anchor the whole program with my friend. 

I Reached the park in front of my house with my friends. Firstly, we went to the stage with all the children of the society to sing the national anthem after the flag hosting. The flag was hosted by the chief guest and all the children sung the national anthem. 

Then it was time for us to anchor the whole program and we started it with the introduction of a speech. The speech was given by a girl to describe why republic day is celebrated. She gave a very nice speech which was appreciated by everyone. Now, it was the turn of the small children of the society to perform a dance on 'nanha munha rahi hoon'. They all seemed too cute while performing and everyone gave them a huge round of applause.

Now my friend along with my brother gave the introduction of the next performance which was my poem. I sung a self composed poem which I have posted in my blog whose title is ' my country India'.

It was a hindi poem which was based on the greatness of our motherland. I was motivated by everyone's applause as it encouraged me to write more. 

Next was a speech given by two children of our society which recieved many appreciations by the audience.

After that my brother along with another girl introduced the dance which was to be performed by me along with two of my friends on a mashup of ' ek tera naam and teri mitti'. We performed well as I saw it in the video and the audience too appreciated it as it was the only dance of the whole ceremony.

Next was a poem by a girl which was based on ' unity in diversity'. She recitated it very nicely.

The last performance was a song by my brother which was 'hum hindustani'. He sung it in a very melodious voice and all the audience gave him a huge round of applause.

That was all for the performances. At last the gift distribution was done by a retired honourable flying officer. Everyone went to their homes pleased after seeing such wonderful performances.
